Case History:

Rodah was born in Ngere but now lives in (Akwanya) Kamagaga.  She speaks Luo and is illiterate.  Rodah is a widow who lost her four sons and their wives to HIV/AIDS.  Her only child still alive, a daughter, also a widow, lives far away and visits only occasionally. 
She has no one to support her and her five grandchildren who are still in school and live with her in a small iron roofed house.

Rodah is suffering from backache due to the hand gardening because she does not have cows (oxen) for ploughing).

When Rodah wakes up, she cleans her house and then goes to the field for casual labour.  She comes back to work in her own field and gather vegetables for supper.  They take one meal a day due to lack of income.

Rodah is a caring and God fearing grandma.  She likes to go to the Pentecostal church and small Christian gatherings.

Sponsorship will help Rodah Aomo Obewa pay for her food, shelter, clothing and medical attention when necessary.  Most importantly it will show her that someone voluntarily cares about her situation.
